Begun in 2008, the Ambrose Community Garden is a place where any individual, group or family may rent a space in which to grow vegetables or flowers. Because we are committed to sustainability, this is an organic garden, meaning no artificial pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers are permitted. Instead, earth-friendly materials like manure, leaves and compost are used to enrich the soil. Several plots are reserved for growing crops to donate to Northend Community Ministries, space is provided at no charge for use by the Aldersgate Center for Child Development, and up to two additional plots are available cost-free to
other groups/families/individuals on a need basis. Members of the garden are free to use their produce however they wish.
New Garden members are welcome each season after April 1, as space is available. Contact the church office for more information, or download the application form mentioned below.
