Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry offers opportunities for those needing care and those willing to give care.

For care receivers, Stephen Ministry:

• offers one-to-one ministry to persons experiencing stress.

• is for those who are grieving, depressed, shut in, struggling or have any other care need.

For care givers, Stephen Ministry:

• offers an avenue of ministry to those seeking to be involved in a program of giving support to persons experiencing stress.

• is for those desiring to share gifts for bringing Christ’s healing love. An intensive training program prepares the Stephen Minister for care giving.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Chain

• is a network of people who commit to praying for special needs as they are made known either by phone or by email

Intercessory Prayer Group

• is for adults and youth who wish to pray for each other and the needs of the community and world

• all are invited to come and lift the concerns of your heart and praises of your life to God in a safe environment that respects confidentiality

• praying aloud is not required

• meets the first Tuesday evening of each month at 7:30pm in the Westgate Room

Prayer Quilts

• are made by church members, then others are invited to help “tie them off” as they pray for the recipient

• are presented to persons with serious health needs, infants at baptisms, and other situations
