Design Lab # 1
The first design lab will evaluate current and potential uses of the space and what structural changes are needed to best meet the community needs.

Design Lab # 2
Building on Lab #1, we will refine the design ideas and identify the best wall treatments, flooring, and other interior design aspects related to the space and how it will be used.

The Big Reveal
After the two design labs, we will review the ideas and develop concept drawings for the newly designed space. This is a chance to see all of the ideas come together into one plan.

Who's Invited: Anyone that would like to attend is welcome. No design experience necessary!
Where: Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4301 Ambrose Ave NE, Grand Rapids MI 49525
Why: Aldersgate UMC has a wonderful community space that is in need of a redesign. Since many local organizations and groups utilize the space, we are inviting anyone within the community to come and share their ideas and creativity to meet the needs of all within the community.
What Will I Do at the Design Labs?
What Will Happen with the Ideas Generated at the Design Labs?
After the two design labs are complete, Aldergate UMC will share the ideas with a team of designers at Kingscott Associates. The Kingscott team will develop concept drawings based on the ideas. These drawings will be presented at the Big Reveal event so everyone can see how the ideas generated a potential new design. Please note that the final design will depend on many factors including budget, coordination with other organizations, etc.

How Do I Get Free Tickets to the Whitecaps Baseball Game?
We will be providing free tickets to the first 40 people that RSVP and attend one of the events. The game is on May 7th at 7pm immediately following the Big Reveal event (tickets will be distributed at the end of the Big Reveal event). Additional tickets can be purchased for $10 each for those that are not able to attend any of the events.
