AMBROSE COMMUNITY GARDEN
Based on Aldersgate's focus on Creation Care, we started the Ambrose Community Garden in 2008. The garden is a place where any individual, family, or group may rent a space in which to grow vegetables or flowers. Because we are committed to sustainability, this is an organic garden, meaning no artificial pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers are permitted. Instead, earth-friendly materials like manure, leaves, and compost are used to enrich the soil.
Up to three plots are available at no charge to non-profits or others on an as-needed basis. Additional space is planted and shared with the community at large, but members of the garden are free to use their produce however they wish.
New garden members are welcome each season after April 1, as space is available. For more information, contact the church office (616.363.3446 or [email protected]) or read the garden guidelines and download an application form below.
