MEMORIAL GARDEN OF THE PINES
Moved by love for family and friends as well as the world of nature, Aldersgate members have established the Garden of the Pines, in part as a place where the ashes of those who have been cremated can be mingled with the soil. More and more people are choosing the simpler, less costly practice of cremation, and many like the idea of a final resting place near their spiritual home.
The Garden is also available for quiet meditation, weddings, and small group worship experiences. Located just outside our sanctuary windows, overlooking a pine grove, it proves a constantly- changing view of the work of the Master Artist.
Applications for use of the garden for interment may be obtained by contacting the church office. A fee to help maintain and improve the garden is required at the time of application. Each interment will be recorded with an entry in the archival-quality Memorial Book, and a plaque bearing the name and vital dates of the deceased may be purchased and mounted on the church wall.
Aldersgate UMC provides funeral and memorial services. Learn more here: Aldersgate's Ministry of Caring at the Time of Death.
